This was implemented in this software called Dendron which is a VSCode plugin for Knowledge Management.

I think this type of structure is very useful, but it might be a pain to implement all the time.

Actually it's pretty sweet.

However, I think it might be hard for those files that belong in multiple categories. This is the same issue with the folder based Knowledge Management approach.
